I’m Going to Yahoo Esports

This might come as a surprise to many people, but my time as a freelancer is coming to an end. The good news is I’ll still be covering competitive Street Fighter and the fighting game community at Yahoo Esports. I’m excited for this opportunity and look forward to new challenges that come with making Yahoo Esports the premier destination for Street Fighter V and FGC coverage.

A year ago, I started covering the competitive Street Fighter beat at Red Bull eSports. In that time, I’ve covered dozens of events, written a weekly column focusing on different personalities within the FGC, and had the opportunity to check off a couple of items on my bucket list like attending Evo and going to Japan. I can’t thank them enough for the opportunity I was given to write about the one thing I’m most passionate about, Street Fighter.

I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the wonderful people I’ve worked with and befriended at IGN, Pixelkin, Playboy, ZAM, and in the freelance writing community. You’re all doing great things and I wish you the best.

Be sure to bookmark Yahoo Esports and follow me on Twitter @Bizarro_Mike to stay up-to-date on all your Street Fighter V and Esports news and features.
